Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Trivor ("Trivor", "we", "us") governing your use of the Trivor app and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, accessing or using Trivor you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use Trivor. If you are a minor, you must have your parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these Terms on your behalf.
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate others or choose offensive usernames.

2. Trivor is a game of skill

Trivor is a competitive trivia game. Outcomes are determined by your knowledge and speed — your skill — not by chance or by spending money. Matchmaking pairs players by skill, and your ELO rating and rank move only as a result of your performance in ranked games.

Trivor is not a gambling product. You do not wager real money, you cannot win real money or anything of monetary value, and no feature of the game pays out cash or cash-equivalents. Any randomized in-game feature (such as a prize wheel) awards only virtual, cosmetic items for use inside the game and has no real-world value.

3. Not pay-to-win

Purchases and in-game currency never buy wins, ELO, rank, correct answers, or any competitive advantage in ranked play.
Paid items are cosmetic (profile frames, backgrounds, titles, emotes, music) or convenience (a PRO subscription that grants bonus XP, bonus gems and an ad-free experience).
Optional power-ups available in casual play do not apply to ELO-earning ranked games, where the same free options are available to everyone.
Rank wings and tier rewards are earned through play and cannot be purchased.

4. Virtual items & currency

Gems, cosmetics, power-ups and all other in-game items ("Virtual Items") are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use inside Trivor. You do not own them.
Virtual Items have no monetary value, are not your property, and cannot be redeemed for cash, sold, traded, transferred, or exchanged for anything of value outside the game.
Virtual Items are not refundable except where required by law or by Apple's policies. We may change, manage, or remove Virtual Items, and may modify game balance, prices and availability at any time.
If your account is closed or the Service is discontinued, any unused Virtual Items are forfeited without compensation, except where the law requires otherwise.

5. Purchases & subscriptions

All purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account and are subject to the App Store terms. We never receive your payment-card details.
Prices are shown before purchase and may include applicable taxes. By confirming a purchase you authorize the charge.
PRO is an auto-renewing subscription. It renews at the then-current price unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.
Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policy. You can restore eligible past purchases at any time from the app's Settings.
You are responsible for the purchases made on your account. Please review each purchase before confirming.

6. Regional availability & your local laws

The Service is offered worldwide, but laws differ by country and region. Where your local laws restrict or prohibit in-app purchases, randomized ("loot") rewards, or certain game features, those features may be limited, modified, or unavailable to you, and we may restrict access accordingly. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Trivor — including any purchases — is lawful where you live, and you agree to use the Service only in compliance with the laws that apply to you. If a feature is not permitted in your jurisdiction, do not use it.

7. Fair play & acceptable use

To keep Trivor fair and safe, you agree not to:

cheat, use bots, automation, or exploit bugs to gain an advantage or manipulate ELO, scores or leaderboards;
harass, abuse, or post hateful, illegal or infringing content (including in usernames or messages);
buy, sell, or transfer accounts or Virtual Items for real money outside the App Store;
reverse-engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access it in unauthorized ways.

We may remove content, reset ratings obtained unfairly, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Trivor for your own entertainment, subject to these Terms. All game content, software, trademarks and assets remain our property or our licensors'.

9. Termination

You may stop using Trivor at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service or other players. Some provisions (including sections on Virtual Items, disclaimers and liability) survive termination.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under applicable law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Trivor will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or Virtual Items, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Trivor after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable where Trivor is operated, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence. Questions about these Terms? Email support@playtrivor.com.
